brap, the Birmingham Race Action Partnership aims to tackle racial discrimination, disadvantage and social exclusion in the city of Birmingham.
At brap we aim to make a sustainable difference by working with others to better understand how practice might be improved in ways that reduce inequality.
Our mission is to help people, communities and the organisations that serve them to turn equality into reality. Our aim is to build a society which is more equitable and confident in its diversity.
brap is committed to listening, understanding and responding to issues of inequality and to bringing about meaningful change for the better. We promote a learning culture where equalities can be openly discussed and questioned. We aim to help people develop a more informed and confident approach to equalities implementation. brap nurtures a number of networks which help people to connect to each other and grow in both the understanding and skills needed to improve outcomes for all members of society.
