Suzette’s career in policing started 23 years ago when she joined West Mercia Constabulary. From January 2005 until August 2005 Suzette worked as acting Assistant Chief Constable on a Home Office project and the early development of the National Policing Improvement Agency.
In 2005 she took up her position as Assistant Chief Constable with Staffordshire Police with responsibility for crime, operations and diversity. In May 2007 she transferred at the same rank to West Midlands Police, with responsibility for intelligence. She now has territorial responsibility for Birmingham and is the force lead on gun crime and knife crime issues.
