Working Neighbourhoods Fund

The Working Neighbourhoods Fund (WNF) was established by Government as part of its drive to get people into employment.
WNF forms a distinct element of the Area Based Grant which provides resources to local authorities.
Be Birmingham will play a key role in bringing partners together to coordinate action on worklessness. There will be a proactive drive to support the long-term unemployed and those individuals furthest away from the labour market.
Birmingham will lead a community-led, neighbourhood specific approach that works by engaging with vulnerable people who are at risk of worklessness including ethnic minorities and people with disabilities.
