Brian has been chief executive of BVSC, the centre for voluntary action since 2005, having joined the organisation in 2001 to manage its volunteering services.
Brian is a member of Be Birmingham's Executive Board and the Neighbourhood's Board. He provides advice to partners on how to engage the voluntary and community sector in the Local Area Agreement process. He is currently a trustee of Birmingham Pride Community Trust.
Originally from Scotland, Brian trained as a Personnel Manager with Marks and Spencer plc, and was formally director of a midlands-based Citizens Advice Bureau before moving to BVSC.
