Residents shape their area
Residents from Washwood Heath and Ward End are being urged to get involved and have their say on how to improve the area.
Local residents are being asked to attend a shaping event at Ward End Park on 13th July, 9.30am – 3.30pm where they will develop a neighbourhood agreement with partners.
Neighbourhood managers Phil Grainger and Christy Acton secured funding from the Government to develop the neighbourhood agreement between the local police, council and residents.
The agreement will allow residents to have a say in how issues are tackled, build better relationships with local service providers, understand better what services they are entitled to and how they can be improved.
There are already a range of positive activities taking place in Washwood Heath and Ward End and this Neighbourhood agreement will help to clarify who is responsible for what in improving the local environment.
Christy Acton, neighbourhood manager for Ward End and Pelham said: 'This Neighbourhood Agreement will provide local residents a real chance to say what they can do to improve their neighbourhood and influence how local service providers can improve what they deliver'.
